I feel myself growing every day.  Today we visited a local ropes course and through various activities learned two things:  the element of our being (the gut) learns that which we have the potential to become, and, without staying flexible, open-minded, and cooperative we follow only our own paths.

One of the activities at the ropes course was one in which we were asked to lean out over a cliff at a 45 degree angle supported only by a few ropes.  I realized then that there is nothing in this world which I should fear.  Prior to the activity, for most of my life, I had struggled in trying to stay true to myself.  I was not consistent in the displaying of my character because I was afraid to show close-minded people the issues which were most important to me.   Why?  Because I did not want my ideas ridiculed or rejected.

After pushing my limits to such an extreme, I have a renewed commitment to myself and to this world.  I have realized what we as a generation have to lose as this world reaches such a low point in its development.  With this new clarity of mind and determination for positive change,  I began today to think about the solution I have always dreamed of implementing in our world and the problems which we confront.   I believe this solution is an alliance of all existing organizations and institutions concerned with the improvement of the human race.

There are many problem-solving organizations in our world, yet there are still many problems which exist and which are being created daily.  Hence, our race requires a new approach: a Global Youth Alliance.  This alliance calls for the many separate institutions to acknowledge their problems and recognize that we are all concerned with one thing: the bettering of the human race.  If we all have the same goal, should we not logically cooperate?

When I introduced this idea to my fellow youth delegates, I never imagined I would receive a reaction from everyone.  Yet every delegate was overflowing with excitement -  as if each of us had only seen a drop of water in over a month's time and had just discovered a fresh water ocean!   We began immediately, after an arduous 17 hour day,  our planning and brain storming ideas.  An Alliance of Youth has became our primary goal and a dream come true for me.   I am discovering fine humans within the hearts of our generation and I am understanding that change is indeed possible.  With these discoveries, I am falling in love with  my generation and the human race in general.
