We practiced the daily routine with respect to morning activities. After a long night and very short sleep, the exhaustion was embedded more in the mind than the body. There is so much which must be achieved in the coming days.
This day will forever remain a cherished memory in the sense that lessons learned have not only contributed to my conscience but challenged me to greater heights in all spheres of life.
The morning was spent productively, focusing on the need and value of team building as the essential prerequisite of success. This was done in very interesting ways. We were all taken to an old military base which was used during World War II. We had to solve problems such as retrieving a vital element from a large ring without touching the surrounding land, maneuvering between two ropes assumed to possess live current and representing the only point of escape, and, finally, hanging out over a cliff at a 45 angle just to risk is and how it can be overcome with perseverance and cooperation. All these exercises culminated in the realization that we need one another for support and encouragement if we are to succeed.
In the afternoon session, the groups had the chance to discuss their policy frameworks for further deliberation. The evening was splendid and glamorous. All the speakers delivered a message pure and true - the example of their lives attesting to their wisdom and experience. In simple words, today was the most memorable of my life. |
