This afternoon, I found myself in a roundtable about Democracy. I had wanted to be in the Education roundtable. The idea of convening a session on democracy seemed unnecessary to me. How could the world's decision-makers maintain ideas of parallelism in policy and ideology?
When my opinion was asked, I bluntly said, "Democracy doesn't exist. It is not representative of the masses who strive to uphold it, but rather a rock for power-aspiring people who seek refuge behind it." |
