As a youth counselor at school, Dionne's responsibilities include the development of youth service projects. She recently received a scholarship to attend a World Mission's Conference in Zimbabwe with youth from around Africa. Dionne looks forward to sharing recent developments in South Africa with her peers at the Youth Summit. She adds "I want to invest the experience I will gain from the Summit and use it to make others aware, giving them a global perspective and broadening their horizons."
Christian, friendly, extroverted, creative, and good listener are the five words Dionne uses to describe herself. In addition to singing in a choir, Dionne enjoys dancing, reading, drawing and listening to music - especially gospel and various artists, such as Yolanda Adams, Sandy Patti, Choirs.
The issues that are most central to Dionne's activism are teen pregnancy, drug abuse and education. |
