Justina Hierta

Justina enjoys theater, outdoor sports, and singing.  She is active with several service organizations and was recently awarded a Presidential Scholarship to study at Cambridge University in England.  Justina carries "a deep passion to change the world and watch it become a better place." 

Justina is interested in democracy and the environment because in her opinion, they have a critical interrelationship.  Without political and economic democracy people have less control over their environment and natural resources and individual rights.  She looks forward to the Youth Summit as an opportunity to work in partnership with youth from around the globe.

As an American, Justina's native language is English.  She also speaks a little bit of French, Russian and Swedish.

Justina likes to read, explore nature, and help our in her community.  She has been ESL tutor and as a hospital volunteer.  What she really loves, though, is singing.  What she sings, we don't know, but she listens to classical music, oldies, international folk, and some alternative groups.
